Melissa grew up in Sydney and has lived in Tumut since 2016.

The beautiful community has since become her home, where she has raised her family, including five wonderful children.

Melissa’s first job out of school was as a barista when she was just 16. She’s loved coffee and food ever since and has spent the next 16 years in the industry.

Having joined the Whisk and Dish team in 2017, Melissa learned a lot from Clara Packard, the cafe’s previous owner and friend.

When the opportunity to purchase the cafe arose, she jumped at it.

With the support of her dedicated staff and community, the cafe has become a hub for locals and visitors alike to come together.
